Publishing
Since May 2020, I have worked for the Clemson University Press (CUP) as a design intern. The Press distributes scholarship worldwide and highlights the rigorous standard of critical and creative output from Clemson, further distinguishing the University as a center for research and culture. I completed projects in graphic design, typesetting and layout, and content marketing. Clemson University Press commissioned me to design the interior and exterior of the book Unbuilt Clemson. I was also asked to create promotional marketing materials for the book. This client project fostered industry expertise, streamlining my design skills and knowledge with Adobe Creative Suite, and effectively built strong relationships between consultant and client.

Unbuilt Clemson
Design Diary
This diary publicly gives insight into my design process for Unbuilt Clemson. Prior to this project, I have never shared my design journal before. It includes design versions, edits, thoughts, color palettes, etc. with a clear explanation of how each meeting, sketch, and thought fits into the design process.
Critical Reflection
This paper formally documents and reflects critically on my design process. Like my other pieces in this portfolio, this project went through a design funnel, but it was not Willenskomer's funnel. This project was informed by Stephen Hay's Design Funnel. Instead of including it all on this webpage, I have included the project exigency, audience, constraints, deliverables, competencies, skills, tools, references, and reflection in this PDF.
